If your beans are still not soft after soaking and cooking, you can try a couple of things. First, check the freshness of your beans as old beans may take longer to cook. Also, add a pinch of baking soda to the water during cooking, which can help soften the beans. If transferring to a pot, ensure there’s enough liquid and simmer until the beans are tender.
