Adjustable Guards

This category includes safety devices that are affixed to a moving machine at the point where work is performed or a workpiece is placed, that acts as a shield to prevent contact with body parts or to prevent chips, sparks, etc. from exiting the machine in an uncontrolled manner. While some machine guards are fixed in place, adjustable guards may be moved or resized in order to accommodate various sizes of workpiece and specific applications. Some machines that require point-of-operation guards include saws, power presses, forming rolls, shears, guillotine cutters, and jointers.
